Balazic in Mrs.Kosbabs 3rd period drawing and painting class did an art piece about the color wheel. They were inspired and added a famous anime character in the art piece. The color wheel is the basic tool used to combine colors in art. The first color wheel diagram was designed by Sir Isaac Newton in 1666.

“I wanted to do something associated with the popular character Hatsune Miku, since I specialize in a more anime/cartoon artstyle,” senior Kel Balazic said.

When Balazic was working on this art piece they had experienced challenges and success during the process.

“The lighting was definitely a difficult challenge that had occurred, layering colors on top of a grayscale can be hard to make it look good, but in the end, I think I was successful with that. Another challenge was the paint kept smearing, but I believe I did a good job covering it up.” senior Balazic said.

Balazic had then explained if their art work had any meanings or significance to them.

“I wouldn’t say there’s any specific meaning, but if I had to say what it means to me, I’d say how music can make you feel,” senior Balazic said.

“Creating art is my passion, and I love doing it. Seeing the end product always makes the several hours spent working worth it. All in all, I’d hope to make art part of my future career.” senior Balazic said.
