Senior Tara Mandarino holds up one of the new Cove products recently received this year. This year The Cove ordered many new products to purchase. “This year we are off to a much better start than we were last year. Last year we didn’t have as many products,” Mandarino said.

The Cove’s grand opening was one to remember, offering free Sahara Pizza for all. That pizza is now being offered Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for an affordable price of $1.75. But this offer is not the only thing new with the Cove this year.

“We’ve done new aesthetically pleasing things like the new ads and clipboards and we’re definitely coming up with new ideas,” senior Tara Mandarino, Director of Internal Communication said. “Right now we are working on putting our logo on the coffee cups kind of like how Lundeen [coffee] does. So we have a lot of exciting things coming up.”

Mandarino also has a vision for the appearance and reputation of the Cove.

“We really want people to see the Cove being different and new, and friendly, and fun. You know, a place that they can come and hang out and get good food and listen to music.” Mandarino said.

Although the Cove has improved a lot since last year, there is always room for more improvement.

“We really [want to] improve overall the food that we can have,” Mandarino said. “We were looking into getting burritos and hot dogs and stuff like that. Just more main, big foods. There’s a lot to look forward to.”

The Cove is offering many new products and improvements this year and is open before school and during all three lunches. Step in and check out the new products!
