Yay or nay for Xfinity arena

This year’s Homecoming dance met with praise and large turnout

This year’s Americana Homecoming was a success on many accounts. It was held in the Conference wing of the Xfinity Arena as it was two years ago. Unlike that year, the DJ and the participation was ten times better.

The DJ at last year’s dance brought in many complaints. Although this year people still had their differences, I believe the DJs were great. There is no way everyone can agree on the DJ and complaining will not make anything better. Nine-hundred teenagers together are impossible to please

Parking was a bit of a drag. Either we had to pay for parking in one of the nearby lots available (if there was room left) or on the street and you had to walk quite aways to get to the arena. Every pair of heels were off as soon as the girls wearing them walked through the main doors. Thank goodness I wore flats.

Thankfully, there was always someone new to say hello to, or dance with. Everyone looked great in their formal wear, and the few students who went all out and actually dressed “Americana”, were exceptional.

Overall, Homecoming was great. Many people attended, which made it a night to remember.
