Lake Stevens High School has recently created the Student Center, located in room 108, that serves many purposes. Both Ginger Reid and Barbara Frederick- the staff who work in the center- agree that it has been a great addition to the school. The Student Center can be used for multiple things, like “tutoring, group projects, ISS, and a quiet place to work”, according to Frederick and Reid.

For students who may have forgotten school materials at home, they also will provide school supplies, tablets, and anything students may need to be successful.

The atmosphere is very cozy, and brings in a lot of new faces. Senior Ruben Eguro, a regular at the center, loves the new space. Plus, it is a great place to go to at lunch to do your work. “There’s the library, but you can’t eat in there,” Eguro said, making the center  a great alternative to eating lunch in the overpopulated cafeteria or the tables outside.  The environment makes it very easy to study and feel comfortable and safe.

The Student Center is the place to go for any academic needs, and they even post daily trivia for a little extra interest. Everyone is welcome, so go check it out!
