The Cove at Lake Stevens High School is a student-run store well known across the school for its high-quality customer service, tasty drinks and Viking swag. Recently, the Cove has introduced new products into its store.
These products include towels to further represent the LSHS boys swim team going to state and clear bags for students to purchase for after-school sports or activities.
Recent Seasonal Drinks
Around the time the Seattle Seahawks went to the Superbowl, The Cove sold a drink called the “Superbowl drink” featuring Seahawk colors. Making drinks that are relevant to a huge event are significant for business and for guest services.
“Especially for the Super Bowl, we had to bring up a drink centered around the team colors, like blue and green. So they came out with drinks for that,” senior Sai Aaryan Kodaganti said
During Valentine’s Day spirit week, they also sold Valentine-themed drinks.
“For example, there’s, like, spirit days going on, or during holiday season, like, recently we had Valentine’s Day, we have to come up with drinks for that,” Kodaganti said.
Towels for the Swimmers and New Class Shirts
The Cove designed towels that were first given to the Boys Swim and Dive once they made it to state, and the remaining towels will be sold to student customers at The Cove. The towels are Viking Purple, with a fabric that is not as easy to ruin, because pool floors can damage the color of them.
“The towels are being priced at $20, but that’s still being worked out since they’re very new products,” senior Cora Jones said.
In addition to the towels, there are also new class shirts being produced. Keep an eye out for them at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.
Clear Bags due to the Bag Policy
The Cove is starting to sell clear bags to student customers because they will be helpful for attending after school sports/activities.
Clear bags are essential when you have a lot of stuff because it makes it easier for admins to see what you have, and they are a reasonable size, not too big, not too small. They make it so you do not have to carry a lot of items in your hands or pockets; instead, you can use a bag to hold your belongings.
The bag policy allows small bags although administrators need to be able to see what you have, and clear bags make it easier for everyone.
“Our stadium bags, I believe at the moment, are going to be $10 right now,” Jones said.
As The Cove at Lake Stevens High School continues to grow, they remain committed to fulfill their customers’ needs. They find new ways to support school pride and safety with their products.
