Lake Stevens High School Cove
The Cove has many selections of food and drinks for students to choose from
GETTING READY TO GO: All of the workers are getting ready for third lunch, expecting a large crowd of students. They whip out stuff super fast so you don’t need to wait for your food for long.
The Cove is full of different foods and drinks such as “English muffins, yogurt products, as well as beverage items like Vitamin Waters, smoothies, Red Bull chargers and even water bottles,” senior Benjamin Hozel said. They also sell stuff such as Viking gear to support the school teams. The Cove is also a place for students to learn future skills about making foods and doing sales.
The Cove is always adding new things and products monthly. The Cove is not just a store, it’s a learning opportunity also.
“I always saw it as a wonderful opportunity for kids at our age to grow and learn in a job setting,” Hozel said. The cove is filled with many options and is open pretty much all day everyday. The cove is always trying to expand their selection of foods and drinks, they have many different guidelines they have to meet for the school policy of say ingredients and they cant have too much calories.
