As it does every year, the student body has spoken and named who they want to represent them for the 2017-2018 school year. The new ASB officers are junior Nicholas “Nick” Peña for ASB President, junior Camryn DuBois for Vice President, junior Gaby Delgado for Secretary/Treasurer and junior Ainsley Mattingly for Public Relations. President Peña is excited to see what that the next school year will bring.

“It’s unreal,” Peña said of being elected. “The campaign was just a wild ride, and I’m finally here, being elected, and it’s been awesome getting my ideas together with the other [executive officers].”

For next year, Peña hopes to bring the school together.

“I plan to make…a community feeling, like a sense of family.” Peña added that he wants to “make a school where everybody can be accepted and be able to ignite their passions different ways.” He added that he wants to make sure students can express themselves how they would like.

Many congratulations to the new officers and good luck next year!
