Dylan Slezak (he/him) is a part of the Senior Class here at Lake Stevens High school. Journalism sounded interesting to him, which led him to take part in the program. He could see himself maybe taking part in a journalistic field in the future due to business relations, which he wants to attend college for. Dylan feels he could contribute a comedic vibe to the Valhalla, where there could possibly be comedy in the news without total seriousness or focusing a lot less on the drama. The biggest goal he wants to achieve is securing a scholarship for football. However, he has accomplished taking on the challenge of O’Dea High School with his football team and beating them 20-3 which is an achieved goal he is proud of! Football has impacted his life by bringing “whole new family, relationships around you and helps keep you out of certain things that could bring negative intentions”. After school, Dylan spends his free time watching films and playing football, with work on Sundays. Life after high school is going to college at WSU, GCU or Boise State.

Cleared to play: Freshman QB Kolton Matson warms up to play varsity. Matson took over for Grayson Murren after his injury during the Kamiak game. "The injury really impacted my sight of football. Sometimes you may never come back from an injury or your chance of a season might get taken away from you. Thankfully, I was blessed and was able to get healed up just in time to take my team to a 2-0 playoff victory," Matson said.
