The boys and girls basketball team both this season as well as all of our wrestlers

The boys team Finishing fourth in their league and making it through some tough district games. “This season was a pretty good yes, it could’ve been better but overall we all worked the best we could  to carry the team as far as we did. I wish we would’ve had more time together as a team, to work harder for the outcome that  we all wanted, but we settled and we shouldn’t have. This season was my one of my last ones playing with some of my best friends and I would just like to thank them for this one last season and all time we had together. As for the rest of us juniors and sophomores we go back and start putting that work in for next season.” Junior Basketball player #2, Ryder Kavanagh said

All of the juniors and sophomores will be returning for the next season, and there are many upcoming freshman as well.  Amazing season to all these guys.

As for the Wrestlers, they finished first in their league this year and did big things at state this year, such as winning a state title, and having many of the athletes make it through many rounds.

“I’m very excited for state, my goal for this season was to qualify for state and going in as a second seed i’m just going to go day by day, the way i have been preparing is with one of the best grill partners in the state Malachi Lawrence. I think that the guys and i all think that we are making a run for another state title with Jake Bennett and Marcus J. Both top 4, Nate Scilly and Kyle Lacoursiere both with top 4, and Cody L. will make his mark and i think will get on a podium, Isaac G. will be in state finals and fighting to take it all. Lastly, Malachi Lawrence will be fighting to take gold home.” junior wrestler, Angelo Loera stated.

Special shout out to Malachi Lawrence who won a state title this year, keep up the good work!

The basketball and wrestling season has now wrapped up, we are very proud of all the Viking athletes and the way the represented Lake Stevens High School this year!
