Girls soccer kicks their way to playoffs
With state on the line, these girls have no time to miss a goal
November 10, 2015
The girls soccer team fought long and hard to score their way to districts. With the unfortunate loss against Kamiak on Tuesday, November 3, their fate was on the line for the upcoming game against Monroe on Thursday, November 5. However, they pulled through for an outstanding victory of 3-0. Now, the team will have to face Kamiak again on Saturday, November 7 to hold their place on the district charts.
Senior Jenna Sampson knew that the team made mistakes throughout the match against Kamiak. She knows that they need to have a more competitive mindset because the stakes are at the highest if the team wants to continue through districts.
“It was a really close game, and there was a lot at stake. Districts are a lot more competitive than regular season games. We made simple mistakes that they took advantage of, and that’s how [Kamiak] won,” Sampson said.
Make sure to support your fellow Vikings this Saturday at Arlington High School at 3PM. Keep calm, and score on, girls!
