The time between a student’s freshman and senior year is full of increased knowledge and growth. We asked the Class of 2025 to write things they wish they knew their freshman year on a whiteboard. Here are some of the common themes:
Telling themselves what not to do/what to avoid
Positive words of encouragement
School-related advice
The seniors seemed adamant to let their younger selves know how not to dress, how not to do their makeup and whom not to date. There was also advice that said to be yourself, or smile more, along with school-related accolades like studying hard, and high school isn’t for everyone.
These messages show how seniors not only progressed academically, but as people too. The last four years have brought experiences that have shaped who they are today.
Giving their past selves advice was a fun way to reflect on the changes and decisions made here in Lake Stevens through their high school years. Check out the gallery above to see all the different responses.
