Lights! Curtains up! Cue music! Sister Act is the upcoming musical put on by the LSHS Drama Club on November 9th. Preparation for Sister Act has happened since the first day of school with having only nine weeks to make sets and rehearse scenes. “They[the set crew] are the thankless people because nobody really knows about them. Things just happen, they just create the magic,” Mindy Marks states.

Point Vikings. Maddie Iseminger, the only freshman on the Vikings volleyball team, blocks the opponent's upcoming attack at the net. In the match against Kamiak, Vikings fought until the fifth set to claim victory. The energy each player emitted on the court upped the competition. “Maddie Iseminger, an actual BEAST on the court, but a sweetheart with a quirky personality off”, senior Kani White said.

The night of the Out of the Darkness walk, many gathered to witness the dusk ending the day. The wristband held in the photograph was a token of remembrance for the young man, Jared Frick, who ended his life earlier this year. “People who aren’t willing to be bold about it, can read. A change of scenery: Eleanor Frumkin Marqvardsen did not expect to go to Washington for school. The foreign exchange program chose the state for her, and she was expecting to go to a place such as Michigan, minnesota or wisconsin as most other U.S. bound students go. “I’m used to living in a city,” She said. “Lake Stevens is a smaller town and there’s not as many people, but I actually really like it.”

Rise and no shine: Around the time of the first bell going off, kids get
off the bus and head into the school. Students had to get up early to
get to school in time to make the first bell, at 7:30. “It’s too early
definitely and seems unfair other schools start later,” Plank said.
