Sophie Grieser, News Editor & Editor-in-Chief

Sophie Grieser is the news editor and editor in chief of the 2016-2017 Valhalla staff. She has been compelled to join journalism for the last three years; however, she hasn’t had the opportunity till now, her senior year. Sophie chose an editor position because of her love of grammar. She refers to herself as a “grammar nerd” which is a personality trait she states she inherited from her mother. Aside from grammar, Sophie loves theater, reading, and singing. After high school Sophie Grieser wants to utilize her talents and work towards a masters degree musical theater and minor in English. In addition to being part of the Valhalla staff Sophie takes part in Jazz Choir, Drama Club, NHS, French Club, and GSA. Through journalism this school year, Sophie hopes to inform herself and others of school news and highlight outstanding members of our amazing and diverse school community.

Winning the same award this year has brought to 2 the number of times this team has won the award and 3 the number of times theyve traveled to the Worlds Competition. The objective of the website challenge is to develop a website that promotes your entire robotics program and any other robotics programs you participate in, your outreach activities, how to join, what you have done, who you are, where you are, and what you plan to do in the future, said senior Aiden Pyle. The boys worked hard on the site to earn the award and are looking forward to traveling back to Worlds.
