Senior Yuta Raqueno is acquiring the skill of journalism in a class at Lake Stevens High School. Yuta amid his free time extends to soccer, piano which he said he is pretty good at, video games with his friends, and occasionally reading. In school, math and physics are his favorite subjects. After high school, Yuta plans to attend college, preferably in Washington. He would like to major in science, pondering the thought of neuroscience or Aerospace Engineering. Yuta not too long ago lived in Japan. There he played for a club soccer team but since he moved to Washington, he plays on a recreational team due to moving here too late in the season. He says his motivations for working hard are, “Nothing happens without hard work.” Yuta hopes to contribute good topics with unique info and a different perspective in the school Paper. Yuta would say his biggest fear is dying because nobody knows for sure. It is the true unknown. If he could change one thing about himself he states his environment. He moved to Washington his senior year of high school and had to say goodbye to all his friends. But he is making the most of what the United States offers and looks to make many more friends in the future.
