Time's Arrow Marches Forward: Graduating Class of 2020 prepare their caps and gowns in preparation for the oncoming day in the spotlight as they get their diplomas and graduate. With everything going on and the stress of school making students want to shut down and give up, graduation day is a light at the end of the tunnel keeping students going. “I worked my whole life towards getting my diploma, wearing that gown, and knowing I made it. I already started the race, I am going to finish it,” senior Caleb Young said.

Making music the Viking way: Junior Oliver Bashour plays live at Real Art Tacoma with his band. The band's passionate performance captured the audience's attention as Oliver and his guitar set the vibe of the show. “I'm a guitarist in a band called Long Distance Operator, we play alternative rock, with a lot of 90’s influence, but we try not to put labels on our music...We have played live shows at different locations such as Real Art Tacoma in Tacoma, Skylight Cafe in Seattle, Mirkwood Public House in Arlington, Tony V’s Garage in Everett and are currently looking for more locations,” junior Oliver Bashour said.

 Lake to State: Lake Stevens High School makes it to state with all of its fall sports teams. School Spirit is high, as “Lake to State” shirts were sold at The Cove to support their athletes at their state competitions. “Just being able to send everybody to State, and you look at it in a way the Lake Stevens is on the front of newspapers all the time for sports and stuff like that, but it's such a great accomplishment for the coaches and athletes alike,” Associate Principal Athletic Director, Jason Pearson said.

Your Future Now: Local colleges of Washington state accept college credit that students obtain when attending high school classes. Students who attended the High School and Beyond Night were able to pick up information about College in the High School. “Most all colleges accept the credit, but how they accept the credit can be different, like you could get elective credit instead of a social studies credit or elective credit,” Counselor Angela Riebli said.
