Sophomore Penelope Zickefoose (she/her) joined the Valhalla to pursue her interest in writing and photography. Penelope enjoys taking photos while traveling as well as portrait photos. In the future, Penelope intends to pursue a career in psychology as she aspires to help others, a decision influenced in part by her big move from Pennsylvania to Washington in 2018. Penelope works and lives at Cedar Springs Camp and is also involved with her church group. Penelope enjoys music and the arts, as well as spending time with friends.

Main Character: Mei Lee is the hardworking, outgoing, joyful protagonist of Turning Red. Her words very clearly expressed her enthusiasm for her lifestyle and new experiences she was facing. "Not to brag, but being thirteen means I'm officially a grown-up,"  Lee says.
