Emma Crumley, Copy Editor

Emma Crumley is one of two copy editors for the Valhalla newspaper. Her job as copy editor entails that she edits every writer’s story so it’s ready to publish. Emma enjoys writing articles on sports and taking photos after school of the teams. Her favorite part about journalism is writing the stories and putting the information down on paper. As a junior, Emma has attended LSHS for two years and enjoys getting the inside scoop on what’s going on at the school.

Juniors Rayna Gaillardet and Cheyenne Kriede study for their finals together to make the process easier and less stressful. They focused on helping each other and spending time with one another. “Having Cheyenne to study with really helps me deal with the stress of finals. I also have her to help me when I’m confused about something,” Gaillardet said.

There are movies like Spider-Man: Far From Home, remakes like The Lion King and Aladdin and those who love Elton John, Rocketman also comes out during the summer of 2019. “I love watching movies in the theaters. It’s so cool to see all the people that like the same movies that I do,” junior Malia Velez said.

Six yearbooks from previous years are pictured above. From the years of 2006, 1999, 2012, 1998, 2014, and the most recent from 2018. The yearbook staff of the year 2018-2019 consists of only 10 people. Without the collaboration of the Journalism and Yearbook class, there would have only been four total people in yearbook. As the years go by, fewer and fewer people sign up for the class. “Without participation by the student body, yearbooks will no longer be available to purchase,” Copy Editor senior Julia Pinheiro de Oliveira said.
