After having originally planned two sequels for 2014 and 2015, the movies have kept getting pushed back, and they have planned for two additional sequels. With such large delays in release times, many people think there must have been some problems in production. but that is far from the truth. Director James Cameron stated that they have already finished shooting for Avatar 2 and 3, but they are committed to getting the best possible CGI for the movies, a feature that made the original movie stand out.
Taking place after the events of the first Avatar movie, Avatar 2 continues the conflict with humans while exploring the vast world that Avatar brings with it. The world of Pandora has much promise to be an exciting setting to explore in future sequels. The main character will fight a resurfacing ancient threat that promises to add more to the pandora lore.
