Everybody’s welcome to the Lip Dub!
Lake Stevens High School Leadership and ASB teams are putting on a Lip Dub in place of the spring assembly on May 30th, and everyone’s invited!
A “Lip Dub” is a school-wide music video, featuring a select few Vikings, clubs, athletics and ultimately includes the whole school.
Its purpose is to showcase and include every Viking.
“We want to include everybody, improve school spirit and showcase to our district that our school community is thriving,” senior Rashad Janjary said.
Students who auditioned came prepared to showcase that they can work with the camera, have energy and utilize the music to involve their surroundings. Auditions were held on Feb. 26 and 27, and rehearsals for the Lip Dub will begin after spring break.
“The audition and inclusion process is very calm, with no high stakes or stress. We just want to ensure that the people leading the Lip Dub will represent our school well and bring energy and fun,” ASB and Leadership advisor Monika Tabor said.
Many students are unaware of what a lip dub is, you can find an example here. It’ll be a fun and energetic way to kick off summer and celebrate a fantastic school year! Any suggestions or ideas are welcome; contact anybody on the Senior or Junior Executive ASB teams, specifically presidents Rashad Janjary and Ana Joehnk.
Everybody is welcome and involved, so come and join in on the fun!
