Do you like horror? Do you like video games? If yes, then you must have heard of one of the most popular horror games, Five Nights At Freddy’s. If you’re not familiar with the popular game, Five Nights At Freddy’s was released in 2014 by creator Scott Cawthon, FNAF was written about a man named William Afton who made a living through creating animatronics, which later became possessed by the souls of murdered children and stalked the halls of a condemned pizzeria.
After years of waiting, debating, and consideration, the movie’s release date, Oct. 27, 2023, was finally confirmed. Fans all around the world are super hyped for this film adaptation of the popular horror game. Directed by the astounding Emma Tammi, who brought us spectacular movies like The Wind into the Night, and Fair Chase, fans have high hopes for his take on the FNAF universe. They can’t wait to see how she’ll bring the creepy animatronic characters, like Freddy Fazbear and Bonnie the Bunny, to life on the big screen.
“Being able to see like, the true height of the animatronics itself, and how like, big they really were. That was like real,” sophomore Alec Jones said.
The main character, Mike Schmidt is played by actor, Josh Hutcherson, best known for playing in The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. He is someone who can capture the fear, suspense, and intense atmosphere that makes the game so thrilling. Fans want a faithful adaptation of the game’s spooky ambiance and intricate lore. They’re eager to experience the heart-pounding jump scares, the feeling of being trapped and hunted and unraveling the dark secrets behind Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.
Our famous murderer William Afton is being played by Matthew Lillard, a talented actor known for his roles in movies like Scream and Scooby-Doo. He has a knack for playing quirky and memorable characters, so he brought something unique to the table. He plays fantastic roles and knows how to show his true creepy side to make the movie just that much more entertaining.
The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie has generated a ton of excitement and anticipation among its dedicated fanbase. They can’t wait to see their favorite game come to life on the big screen, ready to scream and be terrified again.
In my review of the movie, I say it was a wonderful experience. I loved the plot, the way the animatronics were created and how they moved, it seemed so realistic and professional! From opening night, the FNAF movie made 80 million dollars which was 28 million more than they expected to earn. It seems to me the issue with the movie that everyone seems to agree upon was the main plot they changed. Micheal Afton is now Micheal Schmidt, and he is no longer related to William Afton as he always has been. Instead, Vanessa, a newer character that we just met in Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach is now Williams’s daughter.
The movie was amazing, in my opinion, I enjoyed all the plots they added and changed and how they made the animatronics act like the true kids they are. If you are looking for a good scary movie with humor and heart-touching moments, this is the one for you.
