Kani White is an outspoken senior ready to rock her final year at Lake Stevens. Although you may find White slaying on the volleyball court or rocking at the football field with the band, she can be spotted photographing for the Valhalla. Having such a loud voice and infectious confidence, White wants to bring a strong voice to the newspaper that will be both professional and interesting to read. With a strong personality like White’s she hopes to write about topics that stray away from concepts that have been written about before. Addressing the different clubs that aren’t considered poplar and showing how exciting they may be is one of the many goals White has for her upcoming year in journalism. White also feels there needs to be more pieces written on more serious topics, most importantly the power of bullying. “You may have a million friends one day, then zero the next. However you must remember that you always have you. You should always be there for yourself,” White said when asked about a message she feels is important for other classmates to hear. These past years at Lake Stevens High School have been very successful for this kind individual, and Ms. White is hoping journalism will be a perfect cherry on top.
