It’s a new semester, and The Valhalla is happy to welcome new staff members and new readers. If you’re a returner, welcome back. After one semester of our online format, the staff is a little wiser, stronger, and energized to make new additions to our website. One addition we decided to make to our website was this very Editor’s Letter, which will be posted at the beginning of each month to talk about the theme for the month.

This month’s theme is all about L-O-V-E. But it’s not just about the kind of love you have for your significant other, it’s about the love you have for your school, your friends, and maybe even the love you may have for your job. The new year began with a rocky start with events like the Zika outbreak, the deaths of icons like David Bowie, and ISIS attacks in Turkey. At a time like now, when it seems like the entire world is at war with itself, it’s important to remind ourselves of the power of love and the effect it can have on our school and community.This month, expect to enjoy an array of special articles that tie into our theme and will really leave you feeling the love.
