Although the wait to hear back from colleges is exasperating, seniors can find plenty of ways to keep themselves preoccupied while they wait. One of the best ways to stay busy is to check out the wide array of scholarships available to students, regardless of their post high school plans. No matter what and where students plan to study after high school, there are scholarships available. Here’s a list of just a few scholarships available through the Career Center.

  • 2016 Aspiring Nurse Scholarship:

This scholarship is open to high school seniors who are are aspiring nurses, and have a good track record in academic excellence in science and mathematic classes. This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student with good academic standing and on track to graduate at the end of the 2015-2016 school year.   • Aspiring Fashion Scholarship

Do you have a passion for fashion? If yes, this scholarship is perfect for you. This $1,000 dollar scholarship will be awarded to a student that would like to pursue a fashion degree at an accredited post-secondary school or college.  Apply here: www.fashion-schools.org

  • Society of American Military Engineers-Seattle Post and the Puget Sound Engineering Science Scholarship

This $1,000 scholarship is open to any student accepted to a full time program of study towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related fields. Apply here: http://psessf.org

  • Aspiring Animation Professional

This scholarship offers graduating seniors interested in pursuing a career in the animation career path at an accredited post-secondary school or college $1,000 to put towards their tuition. Apply here: http://www.animationcareerreview.com/
